Candice Young is a full-time, professional editor that cuts and splices her way to perfection in everything she does. She’s been doing this since 2007 where after graduating from Arizona State University; she took her first job at a local news station in Arizona. Getting her chops cutting packages and VO/SOTs for the evening broadcasts, she knew to make waves in the industry, she would have to cut frame and head out of the desert heat.

This move landed her in Chicago, and to DePaul University, a coveted media institute for those hoping to making it in this industry. Candice graduated with her Master’s Degree in Film Production, and since then has put her skills to the test by doing what she knows best: cutting for some of the biggest studios/networks in Tinseltown.

Over her young career, Candice has already had the pleasure to work with some of the best names in the business. Most notably, she’s cut countless commercial spots for Viacom-owned networks, including MTV, VH1, and Comedy Central.  She also has multiple documentary credits on her resume too, serving as the assistant editor for Gaga: Five Foot Two, Holy Hell, I'm Going to Break Your Heart and the upcoming Circus of Books for Netflix. She has also edited footage for Paramount Pictures, WB, Universal, Disney, Panavision, Netflix, and A+E networks.

For Candice, her specialties lie in Premiere Pro, Avid, and is always staying up to date with the changing tools and technology in the industry. Candice also loves to give back and help the next generation of filmmakers and editors, so since 2018, she’s worked part-time at LMU as an adjunct professor.
